Hello all

Some of you who talk often with me, surely remember my project involving Italeri Tiger I, which i started for fun and testing some new skils, and when it turned better than i expected i planned a diorama for it. Well, here it is :

I wont put whole story here, i will save it for when i finish the dio completely. For now, just some In-Progress pics of making a basic groundwork and seting the scene up slowly, the figs are not finished, same goes for groundwork. Tiger will get one more layer of dust when i finish the groundwork and a layer of dullcoat.

Here it is (EDIT: DAMN! i forgot to put the little Cat on the front left fender, so all of you will have to imagine a small kitten black-gray stanging on the it :-))

About 10 more pics in the galery :
http://photobucket.com/albums/v635/TigarI/The2Cats

Im opened for all advices, critic etc.

One more thingy, I KNOW that front hatches are on the wrong way, thats a fault in Italeri instructions, and after some thinking i decided to leave them be, too much work to get them off and reposition and i could ruin the paint job.

cheers
Mirko

Well well do I see the start of a good diorama. The tank looks very good. Also the positioning of the figures is good. I love the shaving figure. What is in the boxes that are lifted up... I can`t place the content. Also the addition of the knife and plat on tank just above the mirror is a great touch. Maybe you could add some food like bread with a big fat sausage next to it on a piece of cloth or something.

Well would love to see you adding the groundworks... Wonder what the timezone of WW2 it will be. I know you make something good out of it.

Lookin great so far Sensei! Great theme going on, the shaver is a great touch, adds that "everyday goings on" feel. Where's the cutlery from? so cool! The Tiger looks great, yah two in one day! LOL :-) Can't wait for the finished product.

Hi Mirko, your dio is coming along very nicely. The tiger looks excellent so far and you have a good amount of extra goodies in it. every thing looks great. I wouldn't forget making some tank tracks for this beast, now it just appears to be floating on the ground. I'm sure you will get to it. cheers Kevin

Thank you all for replies, as always Armorama gave me new ideas, so far i got comments of how to improve at least 3 things on this dio. i want more! :-)

Kevin, ofc there will be some tank tracks, not much since i plan to make this a summer dio so no mud, but there will be some, but i build my groundwork in 2 steps, firs one i make a basic ground of DAS glynamol (thats where i got so far) in second step i add a mix of real earth/whiteglue/water above it. That second layer will have grass, bushes, tank tracks etc...

More comments pls!

Hi mate!

Looks real nice, but I'm not sure if a man good lift up a box of ammo like on one of the pics....isn't that very heavy

Your Tiger looks great!

Martinn, none of my figs is lifting any boxes of ammo

The two on the right are loding boxes of vegetable food (potatoes, cabage, carrots) :-)

I placed 2 ammo boxes on the ground, telling a story that tehy will load some ammo later, but one crate is opened to give an idea that they will do it shell-by-shell ading from hand to hand.

thanks for the reply!

Nice improvement Mirko . I think that with the addings of the groundwork u ll be having a more good idea , and if any repositioning needed will show them selves.
Tank looks good to me but i assume after adding the groundwork u ll have to do some more weathering opn the lower parts of it , like the roadwheels, and u can do that matching the tank with its enviromental coloring. The same can be done with figures , so u ll have a nice picture .

Keep working u re doing good

Thank you for all replies,

I still have two troubles,

one is making leaves on the tree (or should i leave it as it is?)

second, making and officers uniform hanging somewhere on the tank (i already have an idea on this and will try it)

Ofc, everything including the tank will be dusted more when i finish the groundwork.

Mode comments?
