Right now, there's a lot of dead space (the snow covered mound) right where the focus of your story should be. The two vehicles seem to have nothing to do with each other. While such a scene might be realistic, it lacks something in composition unless you plan on adding something in the middle to tie the edges together.

There is a lot of snow on both vehicles. The full covering of snow on the german halftrack on the left indicates that it has been stationairy (knocked out ? ) for some time. There seems to be a figure standing on the mount, what is it's connection with the vehicles?
The Firefly, assuming it's not knocked out also, would not have the hatches covered in snow, as they would be brushed clean upon entry.
Looks promising, but like Al said, it needs to be tied together to make sense.

Cheers

I liked it better with the Sherman on the bridge. The bottom should be filled with snowed in German wrecks

Ciao A-train,
It is coming together, but you will have to do some more work on the bridge to get it realistic looking. I really like the snow. If looks real and gives the dio a "living" effect. The green grass has to go. I think that you will have to add more figures to tie in the storyline. I can't really tell what is going on or what is supposed to be happening (or what is going to happen.) Overall, I like the scene, though. Keep the snow, definitely. I really look forward to seeing more progress shots.
Ciao for now

Anybody who will try to model snow on a diorama always impresses me. I am scared to death to even think about it.

I agree w/Rob concerning the bridge - I couldn't figure out what that was at 1st glance.

Updates
The soldier is a one of, Its one of DMLs 101st airborne that i am converting, I am planning on placing atleast 5 to 6 figures in the middle , Footprint's are still to be put it, The grass is still being covered because the snow won't stay ontop of it. I have brushed the snow of the halftrack, Removing the cardboard ( it was an experiment ) Building the Firefly tracks, Building a 1/35 fence , Painting the halftrack and repainting the sherman in winter camo. (Can anyone help with this please i can't seem to find the right camo and paints)

the snow on the tank, looks like it just drove out of a snow storm

Scott, there are diferent ways to create a winter camouflage on a tank, the thing to keep in mind is how would the camo have been applied at the time. Most crews would use a form of white wash which would have beenn applied all over with either brush or rag or even just throw on from a bucket. The white wah would wear fairly quickly, through abrassion and moisture (rain). Photo's show that usually the whole vehicle was covered in a complete white coat, but some photo's do show the occasional deliberatly 'stripped' camo.
I used a very dilute white for the white wash on this Sherman, applied with brush in downward strokes, much as it would run down on the real thing

I think the armor looks fine, and will accept that you haven't populated the open space with people yet... but the bridge needs work. It is not of the same caliber as the rest of the work... Perhaps some simple course corrections would be to use some of the Plastruct "Dressed Stone" sheets to give some textures, and then perhaps use a hot glue gun to add some hanging icicles... As the sun melts snow on the stones during daylight hours, you would have icicles start to form where it runs off....

Just my humble opinion.

Scott don't know if it will help but I've an idea how it might help tie up the story together a bit better. Reduce the snow on the halftrack place some sitting and dejected looking German POWs in the middle( at the base of the mound) and have your airborne guarding them. Add some debris, abandoned weapons, etc nearby to give the effect that a firefight had ended some time back.

The Sherman is passing by so just add a couple of soldiers sitting at the front or at the back of the tank and getting a lift to the next front.
