Hi Guys,

First of all I would greatly appreciate it if someone could explain in a simple way how to insert a picture on the forums.
I tried the help section, and I think I did exactly what it says there, but somehow my picture does not show up, or it shows a red x.
I have uploaded the picture in my gallery here.
I click [img] and paste the url from the adress bar into the right place, as far as I know, but I can not get it to work.

That said, I need your expert opinion on what type of Panther (1:18) I have. Since I am not able to insert a pic at this point, could you please take a look in my gallery? There is only one Panther there, so you can't miss.
I want to repaint it, but I need to know what type it is so I can give it the historically correct colours/scheme.
I think it is a "G", but I am not an expert (yet)

Thanks in advance for your input!

If you're on about this pic

then it's a Panther G late version as it has the chin on the gun mantlet and the crew heater on the rear deck.

To get a picture into a post you need to open the pic up in your gallery, then copy the url directly into the post without using any of the options shown.

Sorry I should have been more precise. +

1: Open the picture up in your gallery

2: Beneath the picture you will see a url, What I do is copy and paste that url directly into the thread

the above is what you are looking for ( i've added a space so you can see what to look for)
you should then get the pic.

Thanks for the info Pete !

Hmm I tried what you said with the URL for the pic, but it didn't work for me....I just don't get it...dang!

I forgot to ask when "G" production started and when it ended.

YES!!!!!!! That worked !!!!!! I tried (and deleted) to post the pic and what I did wrong is I copied the URL in the adress bar ABOVE in the browser, NOT the one BELOW the pic.
The "BELOW" url was the thing I needed. Thanks a million Pete!!!!!!!

Production of the Panther G started in March 1944 and ended in April 1945 with just under 3,000 being produced.

I would add that the late model G was produced from around June 1944, but because this model also has the exhaust flame supressors, could date from fall 1944 and not need zimmerit. You could cut some sections of wire mesh or window screen with styrene frame for the radiator intake screens.

Window screen.....OFCOURSE!
(I've been looking around in all kinds of stores to find some cheap mesh for that exact same purpose..All this time it was litterally right in front of me..

Thanks!!!!
