Hey fellow T-34 bro,
Well, I have my fav and must say that the newer DML kits are fantastic.
You can easily construct an accurate 1943 model (wtih either turret) form the models available. I bet you that the DML folks will have this out sometime this year, so if you want to wait and listen to the rummor mills, this might help.
Now, I still ahve several of the Tamiya kits in the closset and they are usefull for some ideas that I have. So this will deffenatly be the source for needed turrets or head over to Tiger Models site and get the old Tank Maker sets.

Italeri have a 1943 model, and by accounts from more knowlegable reviewers than me, its supposed to better than the tamiya variant. AFAIK, the Italeri and Zvezda are the same. The only thing with italeri though, new tracks are a must!

I have to agree. The DML kits leave Zvezda and Tamiya with much to be desired.

I've built the Tamiya a long time ago and have the Zvezda T-34/76 1943. I have a pair of DML T-34/85 (NVA and UTZ) and if the DML T-34/76 kits are like those two, the they would be the best hands down.
I believe DML makes three variants of the T-34/76. I think they do the T-34/76 1940, T-34/76 1941 and a T-34/76 in German markings. I think the German one comes with a metal barrel and all three come with PE.
