Took a break on the Ger. bldg. cause I was itching to start the bridge. The little guy in my head kept telling me to build the bridge and I don't ignore him unless he tells me I've had to much to drink. Bridge pics are in my members gallery. Yes I still have to cut the keys in on the shingles and fashion the other end of the bridge, oh yea and about half a million other things. See ya, off to suck up and get a red nose and watch the Super Bowl, - Like Dean Martin once said "People that don't drink well when they get up in the morning thats as good as their gonna feel all day." - and - "Your not drunk if your laying on the floor and you don't have to hold on to anything." - Cheyenne
[EDIT by EAGLE] : This is too good not to show it....picture added to this post.

I'm impressed they both look brilliant. You have got to do a step by step guide of how you built the bridge as that totally rocks.

That is amazing. You gotta do a feature article on how you did that. Did you use any plans or is it just from pics? What kind of dio is it gonna go in? Is it some kind of German building complex?
Thanks
Matt

Thanks everyone, off to work right now, posted the pics just before the Super Patriots game. I had 0-0 for the first quarter so I'm in for a real nice chunk of green, oh and had 1 or 2 beers I swear, honest. After work E.S.T. I'll answer questions properly right now I can't find my work boots, my zippers open, the dog wants to go out and my old ladys making plans on how to spend my Bowl winnings.-Cheyenne

Jackhammer, hi Kevin just got done posting you on " The Squeeze" beautiful. To answer your question on my work it will pretty much lay out as in the bldg. and bridge togeather pics. I plan on adding another level -storage doors or such as a basement level below the bldg. down to a dock or pierlike area, than a small drop to the water level with a unloading barge. Thanks for the compliments and I hope I can class my work with yours.-Cheyenne NATO308, thanks man the plans in the background are some pics of a Ger. bldg. and a pier area, nothing specific as far as what I'm doing, found them years ago on a playstation site. Screenshots from a game called Commandos I think. Robster have't decided what period of the war to do this yet, originally I was planning a month or two before the Bulge but can just as easily make it March or April with G.I.s. and thanks for the compliments. MMclean this just comes out of my warped little mind I just visualize and build, along with the bridge and bldg, I would like to make a town square area on the ground level in the front of the Ger. bldg.- beergarden area. Thanks everyone once again and I will make regular progress reports, I'm really into this and to me I think I'ts moving along faster than I thought.-Cheyenne

Cheyenne:
I'm speechless. This is absolutely fantastic. I never knew of this build until today. I'm quite impressed with all that you've done so far.
Did you scale out the lumber or just use what you thought looked good? I've often wanted to do a balsa building, but haven't taken the time to figure out the scale lumber sizes.
Definitely keep us posted, as this is one diorama I definitely don't want to miss.

Hi John thanks, if you go to a Michaels or a Rag Shop or any chain type craft store, they have bags of balsa mixed with basswood containing quite a bit of lumberlike cut pieces, for only about 8 U.S. dollars. There is enough different size cuts to look like 1/35, 2x4's, 4x4's etc. A couple bags and you can stick frame alot of houses or whatever type of structure you want to build. I usually pick a piece up and hold it next to a 1/35 type figs hand and say yea that looks like a 2x4 etc.-Cheyenne
