Hi guys,
I'm still in the construction stage for this kit. I still need to weather and add the decals. I was initially planning to change the markings but I can't find a decent pic of said AFV (WW2 or Korean campaign). This one was built OOTB.
Comments/criticisms for improvements are very much welcome.

Is the suspension fully working? Is that why you put the pencil there?

Arvin
I was wondering about the kit maker, but the pencil pic would indicate Tamiya? If so, its one of the nicest kits, ever, to put together.
I like the OD tones on this one. A nice overall effect. Did you base coat, then cover with an OD, and then mix in some yellow/dunkelgelb?
Looks good.

Yup, the suspensions do work and the pencil is my witness....its Tamiya.

I just base coated the kit with flat black and then used Tamiya OD. The actual color representation would be the last 2 pics.
After taking the pics, I sprayed the kit with clear gloss for the decals. Now, my problem is that, the tones darkened a bit. (I don't like the effect) I'll probably reapply another coat of black (for the edges) and OD again after I apply the decals.....

Very impressive especially the suspension.
On pictures #3 and 5, there appears to be something just inboard of the right .50 support on the back of the turret. Remains of a seam, maybe?

Very nice work on your M26 Pershing ! I assume this is the Tamiya rendition ? Looks great !
I really like the OD fading effect you have here. I really like how you did the tracks as well.
Maybe some weathering ?
Great work !!

Nice tank, but I think the wheels are too clean.
And the tank needs a lot more weathering.
Also the lower hull is too clean for my taste.
Conclusion, needs more and more dirt
The paint job is very nicely done
I like the suspension!!

Hi,
Thanks for the inputs..

.
Just an update, I just finished applying the decals yesterday and sprayed the kit with Krylon Matt finish. I really love using the krylon Matt finish because I don't need to mix flat paints. Another plus is that now you would not see the edges of the decals...it looks as if it was painted...
Yup, I still need to do weathering....more dirt...yeahhh...that's how I like my tanks....
I weathered the tracks before I installed them. I just used pastel (orange, burt umber and a little black) mixed with isoprophyl alcohol...
Its good you guys liked it...

Good work so far,I would rust up the exhaust outlet, any heat and the surface would rust up in a heartbeat.

Good you mentioned that, is that the one protruding at the rear deck with rectangular/oval hole?
Thanks

Hiya Arvin,
real nice build, congrats

, you should drill a hole in the block for the crane. It's the part protrudin from the right hand side of the turret.

Hi Arvin ..Nice build ...I did this kit last year and loved it ...Are you doing a WWII Pershing or Korean? If it is WWII you have to remove the phone box at the rear of the tank or if it is in Korea you would have to add the fender supports ..Let me know if you need any info ...
If you want to see some pictures of some of the changes and additions I made you can see them on ..

Thats right,Arvin, the item at the rear of the back deck, with the travel lock around it.A rough surface would look best with a DARK rust color.Inside the opening can be flat black.

Arvin, don't forget your bow MG. Can't see it really well, but appears to be solid. Any plans of drilling the end? As was stated earlier, small remnants of the seam along the back of the turret. Other than that, pretty clean build. "Q"

Thanks for sharing the pics. May I also suggest a little paint work on the commander's cupola view ports? They were armored glass and although dust was a constant problem, I'm sure the commander did his best to keep them clean, too.
