A while ago I bought the ADV Azimut Panzerwerfer 42 via ebay from Jeff (Herne) and today the kit arrived, right on my birthday! How's that for timing?
Anyway, the kit is excellent, I can't believe the amount of detail, but there's one small problem. The instructions deal only with the interior and external hull fittings, and the rocket launcher assembly. I can work out the suspension and all that, as it's from the opel maultier but does anybody know off any references or instructions that would show a bit more detail. It would help to position some of the detail. Google came up with mainly pictures of these in the field, but no details.

Thanks
Henk

Try my link below, I have a few panzerweref 42 pix.

Look in WWII German AFV > Halftracks > SdKfz 4 Maultier.

There's lots of other pix as well (over 2000 in all)

The best reference I have for this kit is the Panzers in the Saumur #1. If you can get your hands on it you have some good pictures of it .

Thanks for your suggestions, I'll see if I can get my hands on that book. Unfortunatly all the pic's in your link for the Maultier show only the red crosses Cromwell.

Cheers

Henk, does your kit show anything for the engine compartment, cause all Italeri does is just give you an engine but no pictures of what to do with it.

They do give some painting instructions, but who is to say they are right, cause they have been wrong on so many other things.

Thanks Cromwell, your pic's are great help, both for the camo and unit markings. Also gives me something to go by when I start to attack the hull with my dremel :-) .

Hi Kerry, No, the engine compartment of the hull is a solid casting of resin. The interior is quite nicely detailed, with the vision ports in place and lots of rivets and very fine detail to the chequerplate on the floor, but no radio or such fittings. I'll try to upload a few pic's later. As for the paint instructions, I guess the engine would be painted like most engines, metal and alloy colors, and either off-white or red (base color) for the engine bay. heavily weathered off course..

Cheers
Henk
