Hi all,
Can anyone comment as to the quality andor accuracy of the Resicast Bailey Bridge or the Stok/Verllinden Bailey bridge? These items are pretty pricey here in Canada and I'd like to know which of these I should buy (or should I stay away from both of them)?
Thanks for your comments,
JC Hayes

I have the Stok/Verlinden example. Its in injection molded plastic, and It seems quite accurate. A complex build though, which is not helped by the instructions, or rather the lack of them. All that was included is a diagram which may have been taken from the fulsize manual, and an A4 sheet with multi-lingual text of which only one paragraph was in English. So far I have only assembled one section to try it out.
BTW, you should note that the Stok/Verlinden Baily Bridge is to 1/48 scale.
I'm afraid I have no knowledge of the Resicast version. What scale is it to...1/35?

I just realized after I posted that the two bridges were different scales. I'd still appreciate comments on the Resicast bridge which is to 1/35 scale. you can view it HERE
It is product # 35150 and looks to be accurate from the pic but damn, look at that price!
Thanks again,
JC Hayes

I've wanted one for awhile. I downloaded the Army's Tm on it. (not mutch info on components). Resicast's is the ONLY one on the market. (I'm thinking about scratchbuilding one)

Wow! It looks cool, do you know its dimensions?
WOW! Expensive no?
I think I'd try and build one from scratch...

There's not much info in the TM on dimensions. I'm trying to find one locally to measure.
I know of one in the Toronto area. if I can get up there sometime. They still use them around here as a Temporary bridge while reparing old ones.
