Hey all could someone provide me with info or a link to a site containing archive photos of 10th AD tanks? I know that it was common for them to have large white tactical numbers on the hull sides. Also knowledge of 75mm M4A1 use by the 10th AD...

their home page is www.tigerdivision.com. I'm not sure of the extent of pics though. Good luck!

I've only seen one photo of a tank said to be from the 10th AD with the large tactical numbers. The style was similar to that used by the 6th AD with the numbers painted between the applique armor plates on the right side of the hull. The other side isn't shown, but it's safe to assume the numbers would be in a corresponding location. The vehicle, which is an M4 that is supposed to have been a part of Team O'Hara near Bastogne, also had a full set of stars on hull and turret.
If you're making an M4 from later in the war, it appears that the 10th AD stopped applying the hull numbers and stars completely. At least, that's what the few photos I've seen attributed to the 10th AD show. I'm not saying my collection, references, or knowledge are comprehensive (far from it), but I'm just trying to throw what I have seen out there.
As for using M4A1s with 75mm, I haven't seen or read anything about them, but that doesn't mean they weren't used.
Hope this helps a little.

Seems I have just come across the same photo from Command company B Team O'Hara. Big 10 on the hull side... Digressing a little, it is a good read, the account of the 10th armored, and specifically CCB Team O'Hara... Off one of the 10th Armored websites, excerpt from published old book of the account
