Hi all,
it is the first time I post pics of dioramas here. I like building dios but unfortunately I am due to move too often for professional reasons to build as many as I would like.
Here some pics. I posted more in my gallery.
I hope you'll enjoy and feel really free to send comments.
TIA

Welcome to the forum, great to see more diorama builders.
I really like the mix of elements in the second diorama, well done.
You defnitely have an eye for detail.
couple of pointers. In the gallery the furniture is too 'neat' and orderly for a house that went through an explosion. It's great to see all the detail, it would be a touch nicer if it was a bit more cahotic inside.
The red on the bricks is a bit bright (could be the photo). I'd tone it down with a wash if it's not the photo.

I'm intrigued by the dio in the second picture.. What scale is it? 1:32, 1:76 ... The farm equipment looks good, but looks like you used one of the toy ones with a lot of added weathering.. very nice, makes a good change from the usual.
Good looking stuff, it's a shame you can't built more.
Cheers

Hi Henk,
the general scale is 1:35 but as you guessed it, the farm equipment is a 1:32 toy. I thought this was not a major fault to mix elements of these scales.

mixing 1:32 and 1:35 ain't a problem. Nobody in the world can tell if you're mixing.
Your dios are really nice, I like the composition a lot. You can see it's been well thought off. In my taste, you're vehicles look too clean, but that's just a matter of taste. You're dioramas definenitely are a pleasure to watch. Do you scratchbuild your buildings?

I agree with Florre, you can mix 1:32 and 1:35. You have given me some ideas for a future diorama, I'm going to keep my eye out for some 1:32 civilian vehicles.....

Yes and no ! In fact, both buildings are Verlinden references. But as they are ruins I had to build what I needed to give them their final look.
As you wrote, my vehicles should be less clean especially the damaged one
Maybe when I get time enough, I'll give them a new weathering. Time is always missing

Very nice work and welcome aboard! I agree about the brick in the first pic.Easy fix when you have the time
Like the overall scene in the second one a lot, very common occurance that is not depicted a lot.
Like the use of farm equipment too.Is the armored car a AMX 90 by ADV/Azimut?Are the crewmen scratchbuilt or by ?Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the comments
The AML90 is not the Azimut one. it is issued by a Spanish brand (sorry I don't remember the name). The fit was awful and I guess Azimut one is better but I never had a chance of having a glance at it though.
The crewmen are Verlinden references. They are out of the box. The third member fell from the base just when picking the dio for the picture session ! It was being fixing the rucksack on the vehicle front and was another Verlinden reference (a mechanic). I had to hide its feet traces by the wheel barrow
The farmer is from Belgo.
