Greetings fellow armor fans,

once more I call upon your superior knowledge and wisdom.

This time, I am looking for good photo's of the 5.5 inch towed gun, that was used by British and commonwealth forces during WW2.

I allready have seen the pics at tanxheaven, and they are actually pics of 2 guns ( at least.. took me some time to figure that out btw ). but I really need some good side profile pics.

Off course, if some of you would happen to have scale drawings that you would like to share, you're more than welcome

This is for a virtual build this time.. I more or less have the wheels and substructure done, but am struggling with the arms now.. can't make them to look right.

Thank you all in advance,

Richard 'Snowhand' Renes

A Google search comes up with hundreds of sites and pics, but no walkrounds or detailed pics as I guess you want - keep looking, the info's gotta be there somewhere!

Since the good folks at Accurate Armour have produced this kit, I wonder if they might be willing to share what they have with you. I know they work with Royal Ordnance and other manufacturers to get their details right. By the way, I just received their Abbot, and the 5.5 inch gun is next on my list.

You could also try dropping the Royal Artillery museum an email:

If anybody knows about this weapon it should be them!
