Here's one quick photo. I still need to take some decent photos.

Thanks for the photo PC, an interesting subject. The mud on the tracks looks like the real thing! I'd appreciate a description of how you do it. Thanks. :-)

It's real mud (kind of). I'll be writing a full how-to on how I did it for my site.

Looks great, Mark!
I like your chipped paint effects, very realistic!
I'm imagining it in a winter dio now... ooooo, cool! :-) If you need an apprentace to teach your modeling skills to, I'll sign up!
Again, great job!

Heck, I've probably screwed up more models than I've finished. Doubt I'm worthy of an apprentice. Especially when it comes to winter whitewash.
I think the one thing that has helped me is the fact that I build everything. Each genre has a set of techniques associated with it. armor=weathering, aircraft=panel lines and panel fading, auto-glossy paint, etc...
I think I've done a fairly good job of learning a lot of techniques and applying them to the various genres as well as using those techniques across genres. I'm actually working on a car model right now that uses some of the techniques I've learned from building armor to create a rusted rat rod.
But hey, I'm always willing to share what I know.
