I just completed assy. on the Dragon 1/35 Stug III Ausf. G 10.5cm. I want to enter it in the Ardennes Campaign but I need some info. on what the "true" color was for the Ambush Scheme for that tank.
I've seen schemes that are light tan base, green and red shading, and spots of those colors on each other.
Dragon has the color as light tan base, dark brown (wood) and khaki green as the other....
What is it..???..

Check the Modelmaster rack at your LHS. Dunkelgelb is the base color. Rotbrun andDunkelgrun are the camo colors on top of that. Floquil "MUD" is a good match for Dunkelgelb as well.
The base color has more of a dark yellow tone than tan. The depth of the color in the other two colors could vary depending on the application, dilution and age.
The pattern varied greatly, some having only yellow spots on the darker colors, others having contrasting spots on each color. The size and shape of the spots varied as did the overall pattern of the secondary colors.
