Apart from the strap on the first soldiers helmet, I can't fault it.............looks great! I was going to say that the rubble could do with darkening, but the more I look at it the more I like it. Nope, can't fault it as I say.

Composition is great, nice and compact and a clear story; painting looks pretty good, (I really like the leather on the shoes!); very good use of rubble and ruins.
As Vinnie suggested above, the helmet straps should be a different color, more like a khaki. There appears to be something happening at the sleeves, especially the guy with the Garand. I',m not sure if his shirt sleev is below the jacket ang got painted flesh or what. Take a look at that.
For the future, you'll have a better presentation if you stain the wood rather than leaving it natural.

Hi Al,
Thanks for feedback,
I didn't notice the sleeve, there is flesh on the sleeve need to fix that, thanks for pointing that out,
the darker base will make it stand out thanks for that tip also

Good job. I know that first guy's hoping that the sniper's first shot is a little off or a tad bit late.

Excellent job on the vignette!
Only thing i would add is gun straps, especially in the Garand.
I made one recently, it looks like this, its not finished painting yet.

Great job. I am a big fan of "less is more" in vignettes.
Lots o rubble is good.
Figures are good.
All around good job.
I can't say about the straps and such as I am not a expert on American WW II GI ware.
A side question to others.
Are photographs from the period the best way to know what straps and equipment should/would be present and hanging from where?
I know that a lot of "green" guys would dump stuff that was deemed useless by the vets...
Cheers, Michael

Good paint job, and nice composition... i especially like the debris going off the edge of the base, as if it continued onward.... I have become a fan of this style... and you executed quite well.
Cheers!

Agreeing the comments already done, this is a very nice vignette.Figures and rubble look great. Some toning with chalk pastels on the ruin would make it look better.
Congrats George.
