I had this posted over in the River Review Forum, but thought it better suited for this one. I have gotten a little more done on the base. I added some rubble at the base of the building ruins, and have painted the styrofoam black in preparation for the priner that will go over this. I still have the interior of the buidling to do. Any suggestions, or ideas? I'll glady consider all you folks provide. The Crew of the KT will be relaxing topside. No action going on other than relaxing. I'll include a pic of the KT so you know what to expect. BTW, the markings on the KT have changed since I shot this pic, so disregard the 501st markings. Thanks. "Q"

Heres the genreal layout from a previous post.

Red4,
Looks great so far.
The only things I would suggest you probaly have plans for already--broken glass in the windows and on the street, perhaps a lampost or street sign on the far side of the tank to give some balance to the building, figures in the building?

Now for the obligatory questions--What is the red susbstance you are using for dirt? It looks like ground up red brick.

I looked in your photogallery and didn't see any pics of the KT. Can we get some more shots of it? It looks like a great kit. Judging by the size of the tools and boxes in the background I'm guessing its 1/35th scale?

This is going to be a great looking dio Matthew. I like your debris piles and the interesting layout of the building. I must comment on the larger rocks with quartz on them, the two colors on these make them look unrealistic and not much like building debris ( don't know if you were planning on painting them.)
Keep the pics coming.

Guys, thanks for the input/comments. The scale is 1/35. As to the red stuff being used for ground work, it is sanded tile grout. Just add a little white glue and your off to the races. I know it looks funky right now, but once painted it really looks good. The debris is made from plaster of paris with chunks of styrene and other tid-bits from the work bench swept into it as well to add a little texture. The entire thing will be painted over/ primered before being painted. I just bought some lamp posts and plan to include one opposite the building. The rocks that look like quartz are plaser of paris too. I mixed up a batch of white glue, water and black acrylic paint to set them. The black aint stained them, making them look like quartz. The black paint helps hide any missed spots when they are painted. Nothing worse than having a stark white piece of something staring back at you. Thanks again for the input folks. More pics to follow. "Q"
