Hi Guys, Im building the Tamyia M8 Armoured car Ive just got some Archer vehicle registration numbers for it . now on the pack it says use 20 prefix for recon vehicles, but in the Tamyia instructions they show reg number carrying a 60 prefix for the 25th Cav recon. Im tempted to go with Archer but I thought I might float it past the experts (i could crawl under a snake with a top hat on me :-) ) thanks for any help.

The 20-prefix was for "General service - truck, passenger-carrying", like 1/4 ton 4x4 trucks, 1/2 and 3/4 ton 4x4 command trucks, Carry-alls, station wagons, and buses. You want the 60-prefix: "Combat vehicles, special and technical (wheeled)" such as scout cars, armored cars, gun mount trucks, wire-laying trucks, and sp gun motor carriages. This is from AR 850-10, 1 September 1942.
