Help with sherman winter camo

Can anybody tell me the best way to do winter camo on a sherman 105mm,please.

Here is mine
I started by making a whole bunch of criss crosses with white paint so the that entire tank was covered with diagonal stripes
Then I took very thinned white paint all over and "filled in" the Olive Drab areas in between the criss cosses lines.
When done you should have the illusion of a white washed tank where you can see the brush marks (the criss cross marks)
Added dirty footprints using a small piece of wood like a rubber stamp in the appropraite areas.
Dirtied up the tank with normal weathering over the white.
I practiced on the inside of the hull until i got something i liked.
