Hi,
Was just over on the Missing-Lynx site in the Axis Amor section of their forums and somebody posted a note with a photo of the profile drawings of Trumpeter's 1/35 scale W.W. II German locomotive to pull their K5 and Morser Karls. Looks very promising.
Take care, Sgirty

Sgirty , Plasticbattle posted this wonderful news earlier. It has to be a dream! Trumpeter is really listening to us all. If this is a cruel hoax I will really be upset. LOL. I can't wait for this monster!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,
Understand your question only too well Phantom_Major. Luckily one of the big T-34s I built this past summer is on display at the local hobby store, but the last one I built is sitting in a plastic box in the closet, where it most likely will remain for the rest of it's days, or I should say, the rest of my days. Ha, ha!
The Trumpeter Morser Karl is sitting on a small cabinet in the back bed room with the track sections hanging over both sides. Now the guys up to the hobby store say they would like to display this one too once it's all finished. Kind of hope so, not so much to show it off, but just to have someplace for it to go, as there's not really anywhere around here to put it that the boss won't object to. The locomotive, if it comes out........ well, we'll cross that bridge when the time comes I guess.
Take care, Sgirty

I seen this on the ML site too and wondered if it was a wind-up. It would be a long wished for model if it is true. I for one would be ordering one.

This may just be the 2nd release in an interesting development by Trumpeter. Recently, they released the Italian Ariete MBT after purchasing the moulds from an Italian resin-kit manufacturer. Now, if I understand this correctly, CMK also makes a 1/35th scale model of his loco.
Now it's possible, that Trump did a similar deal with them to purchase the moulds (cutting down on master making and research) ad produced the injection moulds... This is sheer speculation on my part, but this may well be the case.If this is (hopefully) a continuing trend, then perhaps we are at the point of seeing some 'rarer' vehicles make ther debut' in plastic... We can but hope...Jim

Ok, while they're at it, why not make a 1/35 Dora? It'd be, what, 5 feet long? Plenty of room to store it! :-)
No, seriously, someone make the kit.

Well there really wasn't anything too exciting over at ML about the loco. I mean it was just a line drawning hanging on the wall.

I have the CMK kit, and it is a real beauty. If what Jim says is true, we are all in for a treat!

why not make a 1/35 Dora?
That is a familiar question, where have I heard that before Oja was my question on the dutch forum.
Well it isn't a great idea. You proberbly need one of the hangars from Concorde.

Hi,
1/35 scale Dora. I'll say this: Who would have thought a couple of years ago some modeling company would have had the b--- to bring out two Morser Karl kits, plus railway carriages, and K5 railway gun model and make them into paying ventures? And if this locomative model does come about here in the very near future, it proves that Trumpeter is definitely on the right track-(no pun intended). Just think of the prestige alone of having THE largest 1/35 scale model every designed and marketed.
I'll also say this: I'm 56 years old now and by the time I reach 60 (oh God, how did I ever get this old!!!!) I bet we will see a 1/35 scale Dora railway gun kit being marketed, most likely by Trumpeter as well. We can only hope. Just make sure you keep a vehicle big enough to haul the box(s) home in. Ha, ha!
Take care, Sgirty
