it amazes me everytime when they find another panzer after all these years. It's like a piece of history coming back to life...
Is it my idea or does the tank appear to be very small or the man to be very big??

The text for the article reads:

"A man examines a World War II Russian T-38 tank lifted from the Neva River outside St. Petersburg, Russia, Friday, Feb. 18, 2005. The light amphibian tank, sunk during World War II on the battlefield, was discovered only recently. After restoration, the tank will be placed in the memorial dedicated to the lifting of the Leningrad blockade to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany. "

That would be a nice idea for a dio. Maybe have a couple of kids with a dog staring at it without any adults nearby. Part of a tow chain nearby to inform the viewer that the tank has just been pulled out of the lake.

Kind off makes me think that here's a tale to be told for somebody may have fought and died in it and the only witness is a nameless tank. Definitely a nice dio idea. Thanks for sharing it with us Jim.

Evidently not all that amphibious if they are pulling it up from the bottom of a river.
Kind of puts me in mind of the raising of the Hunley. They treated that like a military funeral. I wonder if the crew got out when it sank? If not, it seems like they are being rather blasé about the whole thing.

Just a thought...

Would make a tight little diorama.
