Should be the Skybow one. It should be more accurate. but the AFV comes with the metal barrel...Hard to decide....

The maker, SleepMan, has some comments but in Chinese, sorry my English is not so good to copy the proper meaning of the original text, hope there has another online member in Taiwan who has seen it also and help to translate.

Looks good I think my vote goes to AFV the suspension is more detailed inside Plus I like their tracks better the indi links, The periscopes are shut on the Skybow one. the turret is rounder on the Skybow one, do like that Gun manlet though.

Not resposible for speeling errors (:-)

Are those your Buds models pretty sweet their dude

Plus welcome aboard

I'm still waiting on my Skybow order to arrive, with the TM in hand and anxious to go. If I had to lay odds down right now - I'd say they're even. Much like the M18 HellCats from Academy and AFV Club.

The external differences between the four variants of the M41 are so slight that it's not really noteworthy - and - all of them in service exhibited characteristics found on other vehicles. Differences between M41 through M41A3 were internal, one can't simply say all squared-fender M41's were -x and -xx. Reality wasn't that way in service.

The only sure thing is that both are gonna be one helluva lot more accurate than the Tamiya model kit...

I'd guess measurement error on the model craftsmen taking dimensions of the real tank. The Turrets are the same, only dimensional difference in length being whether or not the gun is mounting the early or late muzzle brake. There's a difference of two inches there - not nearly enough to make up for the difference in the photo. I also noted a difference in the width of the Turret in the photo. Maybe a trick of angle. Both Turrets ran on a 76 inch diameter ring. Without the Skybow kit in hand (yet) I can't measure it to see.

The difference in Turret lengths in the photo couldn't be a trick of angle - could it?

I just finished taking another long look at the images on the link you provided and I am puzzled by the size difference between the two kits.

That's what jumped out at me also. The lined paper underneeth makes it seem like it's not an angle trick or something. I don't know anything about the tank even though I just built the tamiya kit, but would say one has to be much more accurate at least in the turret department.

Nice kits, both of them.
To my eye, the Skybow looks better, but as previously noted the AFV Club offering has some groovy features also.
Who's first up for combining the best features of both kits to make the ultimate M41..?
Me? I'll wait, thanks - I'm hangin' out for a half decent Duster...

it also seems to me that the skybow turret is longer and not as detailled as afv-clubs.
it also seems that they are different in size and the front armour plat has a different angle.
so which one is right??

regards, werner

Amen to the duster and seems as I am in the middle of the AFV one maybe I should wait and combine both. Yes No (:-)

I also noticed the different sizes but put it as to much Crown and coke
