[IMG]https://gallery.kitmaker.net/data/14231/6063P1010012.JPG [/IMG Hi all, I just added my One Shot dio to my gallery. Here is a couple of pics. There is more in my gallery. Let me know what you think. This was inspired by Saving Pvt. Ryan, I scratch built the bell tower out of poster board covered in plaster. The shingles are cut from construction paper. Everything was painted with MM and Polly acryls.

The figure is painted well too.
Have you painted the building or not??

The scene is fantastic, one thing i dont like is the figs eye, it looks a bit out of scale. and too white, maybe re do it a bit. otherwise an excellent scene,

You did a great job on the scratch built bell tower, i like the camo and the flesh tones, only one very small thing i would change, i would repaint the eye, try to add a little flesh tone to white in the eye and make the pupil a little darker and don't forget to paint the iris of the eye black and add a small white dot. I still think you did a great job on everything else.

I'm with Mirko above on the eye, in the first picture, it's all you see! Did you sculpt the trigger hand? In the other gallery close up, it looks very flat on the back and seems to blend into the rifle.
Other than those two points, this looks very nice, great shading on the face, very nice camo on the helmet, interesting display.

Brian, great little scene here.

Would you be interested in doing a Model On Display or Feature on this build for the site? If so, please pm me so we can discuss. Thanks.

Brian, you done good. I really like the shading on the face. "Tweak" that eye a bit, and leave everything else as is.
I hope I do half as well someday. Thanks for sharing your work with us.

That looks very nice I like the tower and the figure but just like rv1963 said I would repaint the eye, the blue colour for the pupil is to bright. And from which brand is the figure.

Brian, excellent fig, the face is fantastic. The only drawback as has been pointed out is the eye, it is a bit too bright. I hate to critique this as I can't paint faces worth a damn myself but it is the only thing that stands out as a bit off in this dio. Everything else is fantastic!

Great work!

WOW!! Thanks a lot for all the kind words.
Looking over the posts, I'll answer some questions-
I did scratch build and paint the tower.
The figure is from Verlinden.
I did not sclupt the trigger hand-it came molded to the rifle.
Eye- I realize the eye could be much better, but in my own defense, the camera flash makes it look a lot brighter than it really is. My camera skills could be better.
Thanks again for all of the thumbs up!!

Got to go with the flow on this one,but i do get your point with the camera effect, personally i rather like the eye in question,it adds emphasis to what he is up to,a wee bit of dramatic effect, nice one Brian.

Well now, this is VERY well done!
The figure is painted superbly, and the idea and layout is great also, i like his Binocs sitting next to him.
Well done mate, cheers

very nice brian, i understand what you mean about the camera... my camera skills suck, and everything i take a picture of looks bad, but good in real life

The camera probably does pick up on the eye a bit. Thats digital cameras for you! If its not as noticeable in reality, maybe a thin black wash in the eye socket will do the trick. It will give a border to the socket making it look smaller and more defined. It will also take the white glare away!
Excellent dio .. and well laid out. Nice one.

I agree the comments on the eye but the beard effect and oak leaf pattern on helmet looks very good.
Scratch built tower is fantastic.
Congrats Brian
