You can use a picture frame.

Picture frame might be the easiest thing to get in Romania. What I do is use a piece of plywood and cover the sides with a mohagany veneer to make it look nice.

A cheap picture frame works great. Comes in many sizes and finishes too.

Picture frames are the easiest to use. Not only can you get them in different sizes but also in varying depths to help accommadate your ground work.

I've just put some images of my first dio in the group.msn webpage. The pictures aren't brilliant but from the pictures you should be able to see how a picture frame can be used as a base. I think this one cost me a couple of pounds.

Vlady - a really nice way to do bases for your dios is to MAKE your own! Very SIMPLE... go take a look at the following article appearing in DIGITAL DIORAMAS....
