Hello reader,
I just bought the Tamiya Sd.kfz 222 and noticed the lack of explanatory color scheme's for this vehicle if one of you would please give me a link to a website that gives a more in depth color scheme I would greatly appreciate it.

Here's a link to a rather detailed article:
http://missing-lynx.com/panzer_facts.htm
Basically, the 222 started the war in dunkelgrau or dark gray. The few that were around after 1943 were finished in dunkelgelb or dark yellow (actually a tan color) with some camouflage.
Your local hobbyshop will probably carry these colors in a variety of paint manufacturers.

Since WW2 German subjects tend to be the most popular in 1/35 scale, have you looked at this website's model gallery?

May I also suggest:

Great for sheer inspiration

Sorry guys I had a couple things happen with me sense I started this model and have just started to get some of it done. What do you guys think?
I had alittle trouble posting them here so here is a link to my gallery http://photos.kitmaker.net/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=6387 .
P.S. I did the entire model with a brush because my airbrush gave out.

Hi there spy. German camo varied tremendously, but when I did mine I opted for the dark grey scheme, using Vallejo's German Grey, but drybrushed with a pale Humbrol enamel grey.
Here are some pics:

Initially I thought the overall grey would be a little monotonous, but with some washing and light weathering, I think it looks OK
Hope that helps you on the way...
(Edited to add links as for some reason I can't get the pics to show like I usually do...)

Thanks man. I'll see what kind of weathering I might do on my 222 I chose to go the the Grossdeutchland one you know just because it's so much cooler. So I'll be updating with more pic's each week. More suggestions and thoughs are much welcomed.
