Attached are pics of a vignette showing a couple of German troopers looking over a long abandoned/damaged KV-2.
The kit is the old Tamiya, with Model Kasten links. The damaged model is based loosely on an actual abandoned KV pic.
The figs are by Warriors and Lincoln County Line.
A small write up, with more pics, has been submitted to the content section of the site for a Models on Display or Feature article.
Thanks for looking.

Steve you really did a great job on this Dio this is my favorite Tank, super paint work. Steve the picture you based this on was the tank in the photos dugin up to its fenders and placed at a cross roads to halt a German advance, just curious.

That looks fantastic Steve. Your shading/highlights on the tank is briliant.

Please scroll down the page a bit on the attached link below. The model damage was loosely based on that particular pic.
Thanks.

Love that tracks, actually the whole tank.
Why is that little gun green?? Hasn't that supposed to be ''steel'', painted with gun metal??
Nice subtile drybrush. I like the whole setting.
GREAT JOB!!

Very exellent build. Great composition-I can see why your are the talent scout for the site. I think the tracks look great and add a nice touch. The only minor thing I could see was the tank mg wasn't drilled out.

hey there i have to say, that tank is FUGLY but how you did it, its BEAUTIFUL! Can you share with us how you did the fading technique. I have a grasp of it where u airbrush lighter inside the panels or darker over the panels, but that just looks great. What paints are you using?

Hi Steve, I think you did a tremendous job on this beast, excellent painting and damage. I only have one question . As this is an abandon vehicle would there be rust in the drive sprockets teeth or on the rolling surfaces of the road wheels? I dont want to detract from an excellent model and dio, just my two cents. Excellent Job!! Cheers Kevin
