I just bought the ace models TI-67/Tiram4/5 kit in 1/72nd scale.Very Nice! I am planning on building the russian tank from the movie " The Beast ".
Now I would like to know what was the color or colors of the russian armor was during the invation of Afganistan?
Thank you

If you want to exactly duplicate the tank in the movie, I'd go with Testor's Sand or Armor Sand. They're probably a little lighter than th actual color, but in 1/72 scale, with the scale effect taken into account, it should work out.
Now, if you want to duplicate a tank which actually invaded Afghanistan, go with your favorite Soviet green. For (a rare bit of) variety, add irregular stripes of sand. That's about as exotic as it gets, until those tanks found other owners.
