..M3 Stuart tank. Would it be appropriate to show it with out the turret hatches open?

First off, I glued them shut, second, theirs no detailing inside whatsoever.

Or whats all yours opinions?

Ok, Ill them that way. Then, how about if I just add a figure like standing outside next to the tank? Maybe like the commander or something?

Or any suggestions on this one would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

I build mostr of my tanks buttoned up. And I almost never display figures with them cause I'm not good at them. That being said, this is your hobby, do what makes you happy. Build models, have fun, and post some pictures.

If you display a figure with your tank it should have an obvious connection and purpose. The commander would have left the tank probably through the hatch. As he will have to get back in, he would probably leave the hatch open. Also most crews will leave as many hatches open as possible to get some fresh air into the tank.. The only time all the hatches are closed seems to be during close quarter combat or if it's very cold. You could add some advancing infantry perhaps.

But like Chuck says, in moddeling alsmost anything goes, as long as you enjoy your self. Personaly I would be happy to build a 'buttoned up' tank, but I would not add crew figures with it.

Cheers
Henk
