I think it is really good. The weathering and especially chipped stars and blast marks on the weapons. I am still wary of the sandbags, but they are well made. Also, if you want, the muzzle brake (?) on the .50 stands out too much. Sanding it down to about half its size would do well. Other than that, I really like it. Congrats on finishing.

Jessica is a beauty. Have you considered putting your camo netting over the sandbags? That would really give your tank a great personal touch from the crew in addition to the name. Plus that would take away some of the focus of the oversized (I agree) and overtextured (I think texture is fine) that some of the others have mentions in previous posts.

Martin,
I think Jessica turned out just dandy! Nice subtle weathering, despite the misgivings of others about the tracks I think they turned out just fine. I like what appears to be a chip in the rubber pads...nice touch. The sand bags look great and over all, it's well blended.
The only critical thing I can think of is the lowest level of sandbags. Perhaps if you do one like this again, you might consider adding a section of evergreen that looks like angle iron that has been welded to the hull for suport of the lowest sandbags. Otherwise....
Nice job!

Looks very nice, Martin, glad to see you upgraded the handles on Ma Deuce.
In the eighth picture, it looks lilke there's a remainder of the barrel's seam. The angle of the lighting seems to relaly pick that up.

Ola Martin
Great job on the Sherman. A great hommage to your Girlfriend mate.
Have been following the progress on this vehicle all along and you have done a great job with all the feedback you got.
Well already several people mentioned the texture on the sandbags is a bit on the heavy side but I would not worry about that too much.
Maybe you can add a German Helmet as Souvenir between them. Further I think the end of the barrel is a bit too black.. The gun is the living for the tankers so they make sure they clean it regularly. Usually you will only see a discoloration of the basecoat in that area.. but everybody has other preferences.
Extra points for roping everything firmly down... a lot of people forget that and if you would not add the ropes you would loose your stuff with the first step on the pedal. I like the chipped stars too by the way
Further I Can`t say much else then Job well done

Hey Martin,
Looks extremely good. You did an outstanding job. I'm not sure, but are those mold lines on the roadwheels? If they are, it's the only thing that I could see that distracts from the job you did.
It's a real inspiration, thanks for posting pictures.

Hi Martin well done and congrats on finishing your Sherman . A couple of things I noticed ...For the sand bags ...the crew would never place the sandbags in a way that it would get in the way of using the machine gun , and the way you have them it can't move. Another thing I noticed is you blackened the wrong hole on the Mantlet ...the one you blacken is the telescopic site hole ..the coaxial MG is on the other side. The chipped paint on the stars might be a bit overdone ..why just the stars chipped ? The rope used to tie down the equipement in the back is quite big ,and usually on US vehicles it should be straps and not rope but that is up to you . The .50 could use a black wash to give it some depth ..it looks like you rushed it a bit. I see you didn't fix the cussion in the commanders hatch ..

.
All in all a very nice job and I'm sure you learned alot about the great world of Shermans ..Can't wait to see the next one.
