Is there a big difference between the TI-67 Tiram4/5 and the T-55 russian tanks? Is the difference so minor that someone who studies these vehicles would only spot them?

First, the gun needs to be replaced with a 105 mm gun like those on the M60, the Russian gun is a dead giveaway. Next, you absolutely need to add the storage boxes to the turret and the storage to the rear of the engine deck. These were added more for the visual differemce than for actual storage. Third, you need to add the appropriate external turret MGs. Depending on the references you use, some Tirans had a additional block armor on the glacis. IIRC, there's also a 60mm mortar to the right of the commander's hatch.
So, if you were thinking of simpply putting Israeli markings on a T-54, 55 or 62 and calling it a Ti67 AND showing it, you will br called on it.

Here is what you can do if you wish. Legend Productions and Blast Models both make conversion sets to make the Tamiya T-55A into the Tiran 4 or 5. The Blast Models web-site has some excellent photos showing the pieces of their set on the finished Tamiya kit. You can see exactly what their set consists of and where the pieces are to be installed.
This will be my next project after finishing the current one, hopefully this week-end.
