Hi, I've recently switched to Vallejo modol color for painting figures, and I was wondering what people use to thin these paints if they want to airbrush them? I use distilled water to thin the paint when brush painting, does anyone have anything better than this for airbrushing, or is water the best bet for this too?
I know you can get the Airbrush colors from Vallejo, but that is a little extravagant when I have all the colours I need. I can't really justify the cost in duplicating the colours.
I am going to be painting the Mirage Hobby 1/9 scale 101st Airborne D Day figure, and due to it's size I want to Airbrush as much of it as possible.
Thanks
Phil

I also use only water for thinning the acrylics and get good results. In my opinion there is no need for specially using distilled water although the water in my city is very hard.
