More or less finished with my second trumpeter 1:16 T34, this time its the 85 mm version.
Great kit, lots of work, costly on paint and pigments, but really awarding.
The interior is as yet unfinished, but that will be completed later on, I plan on leaving the engine out, and detail the engine compartment.
More pics. in my gallery.

She's a beaut!
I especially like the fuel streaks from the external tanks.
Since this is the Rivet Review Board--please enlighten me on the only thing I can see to knit-pick (I know jack squat about Russian armor)--is there supposed to be such a large gap between the rear 'glacis' plate and the rest of the chassis?
Keep up the great work. The pigment and paint were well spent!

I think the plate isn't glued so that he can still take it off....you can do that with a lot of parts in this kit I believe!

HI folks, thanks for the nice comments.
You are right Martin, its not glued on, as i still have to do the interior. Besides that, during construction of bouth my T34“s I have been looking at a lot of referancephotos, and the finish on these things in real life, is stunning!
It ranges from bad over slobby to downright awfull!
The welding is a story in itself ...
So bad fit was the rule of the day .. remember, it might just be cut ot by a russian farmer with 20 hrs. of experiance with a torch.

Can you leave many parts just unglued? I'm gonna start the same model in two weeks and I want to be able to see as many of the interior as possible!

Hi Martin, if you take a look HERE you can see what I have done on my first T34 - I even cut off most of the enginedeck - wich is quite easy, and the armor over the top vents will even keep it in the right position afterwards.

Hi Alexx, and welcoem to the big "A" :-)
I“m well aware of the build you link to, as a matter of fact, I have checked it often in anticipation of new updates, besides that, its a great build.
But, plz undestand me, I fail to see what it has to do with my build ??, the "rivet review" board is to get some great constructive critisism of a build, and I fail to see what you referrs to in your post ??

Hi,
A super job there MrMox on your /85. A real beauty. I really like the weathering job you've done. Excllent. I assume the numbers and such are hand-painted. Very good. Can't wait to see what you do with the interior.
I'm waiting on those new PE sets from Poland before thinking about working some on my /85 kit. Hopefully they will be in here by spring time. Still waiting on Air Connection's book too. Not holding my breath for this, but hopefully....... sometime soon would be nice.
Take care, Sgirty
