As you can see from the second photo it really shows the silvering on the number 211.i may try and take them off and use some Tamiya numbers. What would be the best way to take them off with out damaging the paint, bear in mind it has had 2 coats of dull-cote.any tips would be greatfull.cheers

If you used acrylic use some of there thinner on a 'Q' tip or cotton bud and rub lightly just over that area. This should over time remove the dull coat and allow you access to the decal again. It will take time so don't try and rush it or you will damage the surrounding paintwork.

Same method if you used enamels except use enamel thinners.

Hope this helps

If you haven't clear coated over them, try the sticky side of Scotch tape.

Put some decal seting solution on them to soften them up. They should just wipe off.

this only works if it has not been dull coated and it has TWICE!

Mr. Roo (as usual) has it right. Use appropriate thinner and a Q-tip to (gently) remove the overcoat. Once you're down to the decal, use the sharp tip (carefully) of a #11 X-acto blade, or the like, to lift a corner of the decal. Once enough is lifted, slowly pull it off.

Once they are off, clear-coat them with the proper gloss, let it cure, and put new decals on. Once those have dried, put on some matt. Kinda "wash" the area with the matt and it'll blend.
