Hello there Guys.
After having several problems on the ICM T35 building, (as previously described on episode 3!!) i finally managed after uncountable hours of work to make it in a shape. I hope kits warping and many many problems are not showing that much now !!!!! Despite all these i really enjoyed on working on a different shape like this beast!
The tank is almost finished and just some minor details , and some colour toning down - like on rusty chains and the likes- , have remained- but will be done once the rest of the vehicles are on site so i can do a color match with the surrounding area to all together.
For people that dont remember or havent seen previous episodes, its going to be a refuelling scene in 1941, in a forest outside Moscow, when a T35 that was off due to mechanical problems, is now fixed and has to be refueled to proceed on support to the troops to the front.
A Zis fuel track is to be added , a Gaz 67 jeep and also more than 16 figures . Ground work has still its part till is completely done. I hope by next 2 months i will have it all finished for the IPMS Nationals in April
I have shoted many detail shots in case u wanna see some spots in closeup, so please be some patient until all of them load!
All comments welcome
Have fun
Thanks for ur time

Hi bro, you have done a tremendous job turning an ill fitting pig into a work of art again!!! Everything is excellent so far. I agree the rust needs to be toned down a little bit. Looking forward to seeing it finished. Cheers Kevin

Hi Costas,
IMPRESSIVE, that's the first word that comes in mind when I see this big dio.
I know what trouble you had on the T35, but what a beaut it became.
In which period of the year is this dio gonna be situated? 'cos when it is later on in the year, you might have to tone down the bright green colors of your trees a bit. On the other hand, it could be just the lighting on yout photographs..
I like the structure of the groundwork, it has that grainy look, which can be often seen in woods...
Keep us posted...
John.

Very good mate, the little extras such as the pools of oil, the singed rope, and the dried mud and roots on track gaurds, are what makes it that much better
Tell me, how did you do these Pine Trees?
Cheers, good stuff

Well as i already stated some color variations will be needed not only on the tank but to the surrounding plantation, but this will be near the end. The era is mid summer John

Big! What is the foot print of that Dio? Are you gonna have it crewed by Russians, or being inspected by Germans? Great job so far on a woofer of a kit!

Major_Goose,
That T-35 pic looks awesome! I can't wait to see the whole dio finished. A minor nit, though. The Gaz-67 started production in 1943, so it's out of place in this timeframe.

Ola Costas
Good to see you working on this dio again.
You definately did a good job on the T35 mate. I like the oilstained cloth and the oily place on the hull. Great job on that. If I may add some things. Since it is not in the winter period you could add some Dust in corners where water is dripping down and gathers. Also add some leaves or other forest litter to the tracks as a tank this size would not go without churning the floor underneath it.
I like the work with the pencillead along the lines of the tank. It gives some great realism to the vehicle.
As for the dio itself I can`t say much more then that I still love it. It is a very realistic woodland.
Go on and show us more.

Great job so far. You've turned a beast of a kit into a showpiece.
I know you've discussed the project with a lot of people and have posted other places etc. What are your plans for tank tracks? How are you going to work ruts into the base?

Hello guys. I hope u all are ok, and thanks a lot for the comments. Encouragement and commenting are needed on projects like this one.
some answers :
Sticky: its going to be a refuelling scene in 1941, in a forest outside Moscow, when a T35 that was off due to mechanical problems, is now fixed and has to be refueled to proceed on support to the troops to the front.
MadMeex: Well maybe my info is not correct , but if so i can move the time frame onwards to 1943 !!
Robert: Forest litter will be added near the end of the dio, so i avoid ruining it with the handling. Dusting will be also done in total after the 2 rest vehicles will be added in place Thanks for suggestions
rv1963: Yes i ll add headlights at the last moment
Scott: Plans for trucks? work ruts in to the place ? i am not sure i got what u asked. if u could be more clear to me, cause maybe the glue fumes have disabled my understanding ability !! :-) :-) :-) :-)
Thanks to all of u guys . When there is some progress i ll post some more
