Hi Guys,
I plan to build a dio using a Ferdinand from the sPz.JgAbt 654 and I need to put figures/infantry. Does anybody know which infantry gave support to the sPz.JgAbt 654 during the battle of Kursk particularly in Orel? Where there also Panzergrenadiers?
Thanks

Hi Monte,
Thank you. Your dio actually gave me the idea or inspiration to make one myself. The only difference would be that the Ferdinand I'm going to build is from sPz.JgAbt 654 w/c during the battle of kursk was in Orel Russia. I'm just not sure w/c infantry was with them...
Thank you

Max,
If you look under my profile you will find "Crossing the Line" under my featured articles. The rest of the pics of my dio there.

sPzJgAbt 654 & 653 were combined for this assault and were under overall 9th army command. The Ferdinands were supporting the infantry assaults by the 292nd and 86th infantry and 78th sturm divisions. Additional armor with these formations were the 216th sturmpanzer battalion with 45 brummbars and the 177 and 244 stug brigades. In short, you can have regular grunts or pioneers lending support to your Ferdinand.
Hope this helps,
Mika
