Ayoooo friends
I had finally the moment to try my new airbrush so I took an old model to use it as test model. I used Dragons T34 Mod. 1940. I wasn't happy at all with the 'old' end result. Unfortunately the MG broke off so I need to make a MG cover or something familiar.
I took the second photo with a flash to make the pre,- and postshading more clear. But at the rest of the photo's it isn't visible at all I'm still trying to get the best of my Digital Camera...
I only added the basecoat so I'm curious to know if it is an improvement or not..
old Model:
Basecoat with flash
Without flash
Though the colours are not representive to the real colours

Well you already know what I think. You really improved your T-34 mate! I like the colour (dutch: mosgroen, kick!)
Now go paint the details! Exhaust pipes, paint chips....and maybe a nice Russian patriotic slogan on the turret etc....got not much comments at this moment.....looks amazing to me!
Keep the pics coming!

Ayoo Martin
Thanks for the nice comments. I really liked your idea of putting your girlfriends name on the tank. (wich I'm going to do also, hehe ) I just finished washing and the drybrushing stage.
Now it is chipping time!!

Hi,
a small update. I added a wash and some drybrushing. Do I need to add a stronger drybrush? I'm not sure... I also need to tone down the slogan.

My advice would be to add rainmarks (or heavier rainmarks if you've already done that) and a thin dust coat, plus some more drybrushing. But rainmarks already help a lot with blending the slogan.
Nice work on the slogan btw. I only doubt whether there are Russian women called Lonneke....maybe you should have waited with it till you modelled a Dutch tank (for instance one from the princess irene brigade during ww2)

Jurjen, I think your T34 looks pretty good. You might try some light pastels over the turret slogan to tone it down a bit. Some dirt and rust streaks off of the bolts on the rear engine plate, and rust up your exhausts. Your getting the hang of things. Just keep going until you find the niche you are looking for. Good job. "Q"
