I tried to buy some tamiya primer from my LHS a couple of days ago, but the importer in Norway doesn't have any more in stock.
So the question is what I can use instead.
I've seen some postings about using primer that is normally used to prime cars (1:1 scale :-)
The only kind I have found is one with some anti-rust stuff in it. Can I use that kind of primer?
What brands do you guys use?

Some people regularly use auto primer. I read that they put the can in warm water to thin the paint. Auto primer is a thicker paint made to be sanded for auto paint repairs. If there is no local supplier I would order a model primer over the internet and not take a chance on auto primers.

Just a suggestion : if you have an airbrush, you could buy the primer in 14ml tinlet then mix it with thinner, I use the Humbrol Primer #001 for my kits.
