I had an Esci kit of an M60a1 I wanted to build to depict the type of tank I had in mid 70's. I had a picture of us doing a semi-annual o it (pull out the engine/tansmission to service) so I found the Verlinden engine compartment kit. I put the tank together as I usually do cutting up and replacing for Verlinden kit. I usually assemble entire tank airbrush it, then add tracks. I like indiviual links generally though with modern tanks, I am more than satisfied with the "rubber band". This one had the sectional. a semi individual link. To make a longer story short...they were a disaster. I found them difficult and needless to say after much frustration, I basically said to hell with it and not going to worry how they looked. Relearning.....put the tracks on before you put upper deck and just mask them off. Oh and learning....Archer transfers....they were difficult, yet simple. Only one area doesn't look great and one day I'll go back and redo, just like I'll replace those sectional tracks with a rubberband set.
