Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the positive feedback in the previous part of this topic.
I thought it be appropriate to show you the finale of the project.
In a nutshell again the story:
It is a "Motorworks" Tiger E made by 2st Century toys, scale 1:18.
I bought it and found out that colour and absence of Zimmerit made it historically incorrect.
I decided to strip it to the last part and rebuild it.
See my gallery for "before" and "After" pics:

Here are the latest and last pics of my "Wal-Mart" Tiger E
Thanks again!!
Frans

Wow! A hell of a job there Frans! And so much cheaper than a Tamiya one! I see what Hilbert means, it does look shiny, but that might be the lighting? The tracks look absolutely superb, well done! The blackening on the muzzle brake is not overdone and looks good. Too often it's represented as completely black for about a scale 18 inches! The denting and wear on the guards and exhaust looks well done as well, is that something you have produced? If so, well done again. Is there any adjustment on the tracks? They look as if they could do with just a touch more sag to the top of that roadwheel. Well done Frans!

Hi Hilbert and Vinnie,
Yes it is still slightly glossy from the gloss I gave it before the wash. It never got as matt after that as I had hoped and I will probably not do it on the 1:18 Panther, which is my next project.
However with inside lighting, it looks fine.
These pics were taken outside in very bright and direct sunlight and then it shows...
I can NOT take credit for the damage on the exhaust covers. 21st Century toys did that for me.
The tracks could use more sag, indeed. I can easily achieve that by glueing the tracks to the wheels.
But.....it rolls so smoothly right now and it is such a cool sight to see all them wheels rolling when you push it...I dunno, it is the child in me I guess and I kind of feel sorry to do that...maybe in the future I will adjust that.
Thanks for the compliments and input!!!!

WOW! This is the first I've heard of of this line. If you don't mind me asking--what did this 'kit' run you in $$?
Now to the nit-picking: didn't the exhasut stack 'covers' have five posts holding them on? Hence the five bolts on top? If that is the case for all that type exhuasts it should be an easy fix.
Looking forward to seeing the Panther.

The gloss isnt because of the photo, its because its got a gloss coat on it before you washed the tank. It will be cured by simply throwing a dull coat over it. Great tank by the way.

Your finished Tiger has inspired me to try this project as well. I hope mine turns out as good as yours. I first remember seeing these around Christmas. I searched 4 Walmarts in my area with no luck and hit on the 5th one. They had 5 of them and several M113's. I'm looking forward to giving this Tiger a make over. It will be a nice change from 1/35.

Hi Joker111:
Your Tiger looks great but in my opinion it lacks of a bit of weathering.
Very good job.
