I just attended a briefing from the Regimental Command Sergeant Major of the US Army MP Regiment this afternoon. Among other items of interest he was sharing was that the US Army has greatly increased the production output request to the manufacturer of the M1117, Textron Inc in Louisiana. The total number was in excess of six hundred; even then, not every vehicle in a typical combat support MP company will be replaced by an ASV.
Since this intriguing vehicle is already committed within OIF and will come to play an even larger role in that theater, as well as throughout the US area of influence in the world, I thought it would be an appropriate time to again raise the possibility of seeing this vehicle in a scale application (1/35).
As the good folks at Accurate Armour are producing several varieties of the Land Rover Wolf as used in Iraq, as well as other current vehicles ( my God, what they did with TWO versions of the Oshkosh tank recovery vehicle is unbelieveable!), maybe they would care to take the M117 Guardian on as well!

Howdy Jim,
Many thx for the intel regarding the Guardian. I agree with you on the AA people, especially since I purchased one of those Oshkosh beauties from them.
With any luck, they may have heard your gauntlet hit the ground.....
