Just got the Lion Roar PE set in the mail today. Very nice set that adds some finer detail to the new Tamiya 1/48 scale Tiger (early).
The set contains one large, one medium and one small PE fret along with a nicely turned metal barrel. The PE is not too out of control, basically replacing the fenders, exhaust guards, grenade launcher mounts and some minor hinge/latch/strap details.
The set ran me about $15 delivered, the same amount I paid for the Tiger kit. I've seen one advertised on eBay for the new Tamiya Sherman as well. Those two are next on the list of "must haves".

Hi Rob,
Voyager have also released a set for the Tamiya TIger, basically similar to the Lion Roar set without the barrel but with engine deck screens.
There is a review on PMMS as well as reviews of the Lion Roar sets for the 1:48 StuG III and Sherman.

Cheers

I've seen the sets advertised on eBay (where I got my set). Nice to see a manufacturer jump onto the 1/48 scale bandwagon so quickly. Eduard has been slow to reinvigorate it's 1/48 scale line. I've seen PE for the German smaller vehicles, but not for the tanks.
Plus I know a comparable Eduard PE set would cost $10 more! Now if the cost of the kit would just drop down about $5...

Lion Roar also do a set for the new 1/48 Stug IIIB. However, I did notice that both the Sherman and Stug sets listed on HLJ (under Pit Road) were marked as "just in" but also "discontinued". I do hope this is an error on HLJ's part as the Tiger set is particularly useful, as the metal barrel is an improvement on the earlier Fine Molds release.
