All feedback is more than welcome, be it praise or constructive critisism.

Very nice David!
This was the very first "armour" kit I ever did and was what got me hooked.
I plan to do another very soon.
Thanks for sharing.
BTW
I just picked up the new Airfix 1/72nd scale Jeep kit. Excellent kit but talk about tiny!!
Cheers.

hi there,..one thing i've noticed..the front grille is way off the hood. the top of the grille should be alittle under the hood line. very nice and neat. looking forward the finished version.

Hej David
nice Jeep and the colour is spot on.
Just 3 small thing, you are missing the straps at the "door" so the driver/passenger dont fall out.
and two "locks"(dont know the english word) to lock the hood down to the fenders, they are the same as the ones to the windshield.
and the last thing, your gear shift is in 1. gear, thats right but the two shift's for 4.wheel drive and the high/low are a bit to close to the engin, a bit more back and they are right, but keep there position, they are in 2.wheel drive and in high gear.
I have one in 1:1 so thats why i am looking at that.
keep up the good work.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
Liberator...to late to fix that the hood wouldnt toutch the fenders in the first place so i was forced to hack it down so it could, this meant taking some off the front, but oh well, maybe i will have better luck with those parts next time.
Thunderbolt...With these door belt's, i am familiar as to what they are and look like, but did all Willy's have them?
Regarding the "hood locks" have you got a pic that shows me these, i cant find them on the kit, or any photos i have.
As for the gear sticks, i just glued them into the holes they were meant to go into :-) i dont think i will worry to much about what gear the thing is in.
Cheers guys

Kevin
not sure mate, i didnt find they to thick or to thin as i have no idea as to the proportions of the real thing.
This truly was an OOB kit for me, no previous knowledge on the real thing, i just went ahead and built it :-) ( which is unusual for myself)
well they now have decals on em, so i cant file them down, i will remember it for next time though!
cheers

Looks good, just got a couple of the old Testors kits in the mail via eBay.
One of you wheel smart guys needs to start a Jeep group build once Heavy Haulers is over. You could include HMMWVs, Land Rovers, Kubelwagens, Schwimmwagens, M151A1/A2, etc.

I had a bunch of those Italeri Jeeps in my collection until a guest accidentally crushed them. I had to try to recylce the parts from 3 jeeps to make into one. The remaining bodies i will have to see if there is at least some possibility of making them wrecked or destroyed ina small dio.

When a Jeep is born, it will have the belt's,

Looks great, but I have a question. I might be wrong (I'm no jeep expert), but isn't the rifle holder on the back of the windshield upside down?

the rifle holder is in the correct way. When the windscreen is lowered the weapon is accessable.

You dont have to remove them, just make a ekstra set.
the two top ones is for the windscreen (like the blue and white jeep) and the last two for the hood.
