Hi all,

I was wondering if it would be possible to take a 1:35 V100/V150 and convert it into a M1117 Guardian. Can anyone tell me what the differences are between the V100/V150 and the M1117 and thus what do I need to change or add ??
The turret looks to me like the same turret used on the AAVP but I am not quite sure so any help on that would also be very welcome.

Thanx in advance,
Marc

Well, first you would have to find V100/V150 kit... The only available V100 kit is Verlinden solid resin brick. And the only V150 kit is also resin kit from Hobby Fan - this one is hollow and includes interior.

Now, is it possible to convert one of them?... Well, everything is possible, but it would probably be easier to just scratchbuild the whole model. The Guardian hull is longer and most details are different. Wheels are different and suspension is also of different type. Guardian is not really as similar to V100/V150 as it looks.

I was wondering if the Guardian is anything like the Dragoons we used to tear around in at Kings Bay? I think it was based on the V100/150, but we had a pintle/shield for the M60 (no turret), and it carried about 8 jarheads, plus the driver and team leader up front.

I'd like to find a plastic kit that was close to that to kitbash/modify into one of those beasts from my mispent youth.
