Hi...
just checked if the gallery was up again and it is.
I'm sure the new features and connections will be superb...thanks to Jim's tireless efforts.

However some fell on stony ground
...I was confronted by a sea of black and red instead of the last versions white and greys.
Hmmm...this my own personal feelings and not meant to offend anyone...but the new colour scheme is not display friendly. It clashes with whatever is in the gallery. For me...ole dislexic Pete... it is not exactly easy to use. The page graphics and colours fights the pictures for attention and wins mostly.

The previous scheme was in my view excellent.
Very cear and easy on the eye...and all the pics could be seen as they were meant to be seen.

Just my two penneth...

Cheers

I really like the new set-up and some things are just exelent.

The album names have now a photo with them what is in the album. And the photos in the album do not show again in the 'main' member gallery. It is very conveniently. Thanks for all the time you have put into it Jim!

1. The current look/feel is a default theme and will not look anything like the final product.

2. You can login now and get to user and admin features... but the upload page is throwing up a permissions error...no clue why...yet

3. For those paying attention... I think there is a mass-delete option for your user galleries.

Thanks!

Aha! As anybody into Physics is aware, there is a problem with getting the Universe to 'balance'. There has always been a mass discrepency, and cosmologists can't get their sums to balance. Now we know why. Somebody has been using the mass delete button. Thanks for clearing that up Jim. Now there's just super strings to worry about.

I can put away the Optrex eye solution soon then. :-)

The mass delete feature will be just what the doc ordered....

I know...I know...you aim to please...

Cheers and many many thanks again Jim.

For some reason there is not the bar that has the URL for the photo and i can not get the photos onto full size!? I preferred the old one because (in my opinion) it looked more 'welcoming' and was easier to use. But as you said Jim, this is no where near what the finished gallery will look like!
Can't wait to see the finished product!

cheers

Sorry that was a configuration error... it's showing the large images again.

Jim

PS: The upload screen should be showing up now, but the uploads fail to move to the proper place on the server. I am investigating this last hurdle.

There are still a few areas I am seeing bugs on. Most have to do with properly recognizing usernames. There are a couple of new features as well and you can set categories as "Contest Mode" which may be the trick for our many Modeler of the Month contests lately.

I am off to upload a few pics of my own...

Cheers,
Jim

What does the mass deleate button do? Does it delete every photo in your personal gallery?

cheers

Should you still not be able to upload images try logging-in again. That solved the problem over here. Evidently the system didn't recognize my computer until it was re-registered. Everybody's happy now.
