It is probably just me, but my intense dislike for computers has me pinned in front of a dumb question.

What do I do if I want to take a photo from my gallery and place it in a post in some forum?

Sorry, but my comp. skills are like my French. I've studied it for 20 years and still suck at it.

I'm not sure if this will work. If it does I'll tell you how.

It's very simple.
1.Go to the picture in the gallery. Put you mouse on the picture and click your RIGHT mouse button.
2. A menu will appear.
3. Choose "Properties"
4. A new window appears. Copy the URL address.
5. Go to the forum and start your topic (or reply on one)
6. Choose the [img] button
7. A text appear like img]http://put.url.here/image.file[/img
8. Paste the URL on plae of the text: http://put.url.here/image.file
THAT'S IT FOLKS!

Good luck with it, and there are no stupids questions in this world!!!!!!!

Ok, it worked. Here is how you do it. Go to your gallery. Choose the picture you want to post. Right click on it with your mouse. Look for where it says Address URL. Highlight the entire URL. It could be several lines so move your mouse down and to the right while you highlight it. Once it's all highlighted right click with your mouse and hit Copy.

Now go into the post your want to do. Put Img in brackets, []. I don't want to do that or I'll be putting an image in where I don't want it. Now right click your mouse again and hit Paste. This should put the URL for you photo after the Img in brackets, []. Now just but a bracket[ and /img then another ]. That should do it.

Thanks a lot to both of you. Now that you've sorted out one of life's big misteries for me I can go on with posting on a new level. Ha, ha!

Thank you very much.

In my country we have a proverb that says:
"You can get as far as Constantinople if only you ask around."
It obviously works.

Lol...well even funnier is that I had added back the BB-CODE IMG tag feature in the gallery... so just....

1. click on the thumnail of one of your images
2. click the first COPY button below the image
3. Paste that bit into a forum post and you are done.

It should be the [ IMG ]https://gallery.kitmaker.net/data/65465/image.jpg [ /IMG ] looking one.

Cheers,
Jim

Oh that's too cool. I never noticed that before, unless this is new. Just click on your photo, look for the copy and paste URL listed, copy it, paste it, and it's done.

Way to go Jim.

Rodger,
Lol...no it was in the old gallery as well (same spot).

Glad I could help point it out.

Cheers,
Jim

Now you've gone and complicated things again. I was just getting over the joy of being able to do it at all. Now I have to go back and start all over. I find that I usually get lost beyond any solution when I encounter the statement: "There is an easier way..."

Cheers!
