I like what I see so far. I especiallly like the boxes on the turret since they are different from most Tigers. How has it gone together? Any problems?

It went together quite well,if you do ever have the chance of buying one ,do take your time on the instruction sheet as you can get lost on the build.its not as easy as a Tamiya kit.It wont live up to vinnies standards his Tiger is way cool, but am trying my damed hardest.so tonight ill be painting the tyres on all 48 road wheels

.Tomorrow i shall assemble the Tracks. Thanks for your comments .

Hello Karl, Looks great so far, do you have a reference for white on the hatch interiors?
Keep up the great work,
John

Great job on the Tiger so far.. The weathering looks very good.. I would say it should be one fine piece..

Kal,
Hey, you did a great job on the big cat! I'm wondering if you use the ez track or not. Are you going to use AM track for it?

Hi Karl ...Nice build so far ...Keep up the good work ... John ..I hate to admit it but He is right the inside of the hatches seem to be a lighter color ..I'd have gone with a beigier color because there is a contrast with the winter camo added to these vehicles but ,he is right at least for the commanders hatch .Karl you still have to paint the padding a dark brown leather color though.I can't find an early picture of the drivers hatch though..

p.s. I tried to add a picture to my gallery to post here but I can,t seem to add any pictures?????? strange.

Yo! Karl! Looking good! I like the weathering and the dust. I see you never went with the PE rear mudguards? They're a bugger! So how do you rate it compared with all the other Tigers' you've built?

Vinnie This has to be the best by far.and yes the rear mud guards were a real pain, not up to scratch on PE but ill have to learn as my next Tiger build has much more Photo etch.cheers all.

Nice work so far. I am skeptcal of the white interior colour on the hatches though. That bright circle would be a major target for the enemy. I wonder what your proof (photo being the best ) is for you painting them thusly. Is it mearly an opinion? Or do you know for sure?

Jet. Yes, it is known for sure that the inside of the hatches was elfenbein or ivory white. Camouflage has apparently come a long way eh?

Okay- looking at a little of my reference material , ( I have been working lots lately and am real tired, should have made the effort before posting... ) it does appear to be the way. A pic from Schneider's Tiger in Combat

P.S. Teacher, I'd think I'd like you better if you just didn't have that damn "Monty" avatar... ( just kidding

Nice - where is that one from- and do my eyes deceive me in that those appear to be cement bunkers for some kind of calbration testing or something. (strictly speaking, not exact reference to the intial Tigers of 502, but perhaps a relevant sign?)

Finally got my picture up loaded but I see I'm a little late.. :-) well I'll post it anyways...

This may be true for these very early ones but on later models I'd paint them dark yellow.
All the best and let's see some more pictures of the finished product.
