Here is the latest project hot off the shelf. It will be featured in Military Modelcraft International Magazine (GB/UK) as part of a two vehicle side by side build up project. Any comments and criticism welcomed.

Thanks matt, I was trying some new techniques out and was pleased with the results. I replaced the M60 mg, with a modified version of the FN mg. This will appear in the final phoros. There is also an M60 gunner figure in the off side now as well.

Jack,
Looks fantastic! Congrats on the coverage in MMI. I will keep an eye out for it.

On a side note, I'm sure they are realistic but those rucksacks still look funny to me. I guess it's another example of how out-of-step I am with the younger generation. What was wrong with the old rucksacks I wonder? Next thing the Army will be using "SpaceBags" (for those who haven't seen the ads for this it's the bags you can vacuum all the air out of and save space).

Jim,
The Rucksacks are still the same old rucksack that have been around for about 30 years. They are simply covered with a desert cammo slipcover so they don't stick out as much. It is simmilar to a tire cover on an exposed spare tire on a jeep or SUV. The rucks do look a little empty though. Mine is always busting at the seams with all the junk I have to carry.

This may sound like the daftest entry ever placed in armorama.

First of all... Jack take no offense at this. This is only my ignorance and opinion.
I hate those rucksack covers on your otherwise brilliant vehicle. I know its what is probably used today, I dont know anything about that, but for me I would leave them off. They dont suit the vehicle.
Im one of those people that would rather have something wrong and looking good, rather than right and not pleasing me. But Ive probably answered my own query.......... its your model and you built it the way you want it. They stand out as so clean to an otherwise dusty vehicle. It may be the colours, but even the shape I dont like.

these are only MY opinions only and what I would do. Im not saying you did wrong or the rucksacks are wrong (not that Id know), so I hope you understand what I mean.

You know Jack, last night I pulled out my LAV and put it right back. I have a set of Afghan's and 2 Middle east ruins to. I also have the Omega K Rocket launcher.
Whats my point, AWSOME work!!!!! I like te way you positioned the figures. No I have to definatly take back out the LAV since you enspired me.
As for the rucks, I take it you are trying to portray a vehicle in Afghan, if so, your right on the money. May be, alittle bit more gear. If you see some of the footage, they tried to load every thing on those suckers.

Great Job.
