Amazing Costas, simply amazing. Your sence of detail is outstanding.
So many small storys and so many details.
I like the fact, that everyone in the dio, is doing their thing. They are not focused on the same thing.

This is the kind of dio, you can look at for hour's and still discover new details.

This dio is simply amazing. I can't see the whole of it yet so I can't personaly comment on the composition yet.

But for the details, it's simply mind blowing. Mostly, I like the weathering of the vehicles. It looks very realistic.

I also love the "little scenes" of the figures. Each of them tells a story but does not confuse it with the scenes of the other figures. From this alone, I can infer that the composition is superb. I especially love the scene where the soldiers are having fun with the dancing beaver...or bear...or teddy bear...

A tiny nitbit though:

1) I'm not sure if it's the picture or if it's my eyes but the barbed wire on those two wood stumps looks too red.

2) About the roast pig...or whatever that animal is. You see, in the Philippines, one of our "national" food is called "lechon"...a roasted pig. We don't usually put a pan underneath the spit or on top of the fire. I'm not sure why the pan should be placed underneath the roasted animal. I think the pan is better placed at the side.

Aside from those, this diorama is a true eyecatcher. I BOW DOWN TO YOU, OH MASTER MAJOR_GOOSE!! I"M NOT WORTHY! I'M NOT WORTHY!

Costas, me also want your CD.

Angela

Your skills are showing off here. Very nice! Detail, detail, detail - lots of stories and warmth. You have a definite style and it shows very well here.
I would offfer a couple of things, the nostrels on the horses would look better if the middle inside part is darker, black or burnt umber. The saddle blanket on the brown horse is a bit monotone (IMHO). My comment on the gray horse is that the color is great. I love the base and top coat affect. If anything gets my eye it's in the 9th photo. The horse coat looks to be vertically stripped. If thats just the picture angle then don't repaint it, just reshoot the photo from a better angle.
Last niggle is that I've never seen an accordion without a two loop strap. One strap over each arm. Just a bit of foil will fix that.

It's a wonderful diorama, keep up your great work.

Beautiful, inspirational work Costas.

Some difficulties with the uniforms, most of the figures are wearing post-1943 dress. Which is (annoyingly) what most available Soviet figures are dressed in. There is no way any soldier of the RKKA would wear the hated Czarist pogony (shoulder boards) in 1941. After the great Soviet victory at Stalingrad, everything changed and they were permitted.

Hi Costas my friend,

I got here a bit late and all the good things have already been said and there's nothing bad to say..
It all looks fantastic. There is so much detail all over it would take days to see it all.
It really is excelent, all the different things going on at the same time just as it would in real life.
Don't change the grey horse, It's nice to see a different colour. I think people expected to see him a bit more dappled like a lot of greys are but if you have a second look I think he looks fine.

Looking forward to seeing it finished and if you don't end up sending too many CD's I'd love one.

Catch up with you soon.
