Double action, although it needs more practice initially to use properly.

hmm, both would be a good investment. some people use the single airbrush for hte base coat on a kit, and the double action for the camo, stuff liek that. so thats soemthing you need to try out

I agree with Francois. Use the singel action for the base coat and the double action for more detailed work. But if you're on a budget, then get the double action. It will server you well. Try and get one with three heads: large, medium and fine.
