Don't remember if it's the same radar as the one shown in the movie, but here's a "Wurzburg" radar, such as those that were located along the French coast...

and here's the 1/72 ExtraTech kit (#7202):

Another choice could be the "Freya" radar :

ExtraTech has also released a kit for this one (#7224)

You should find more informations and pics using Google (looking for "wurzburg radar" or "freya radar"...)

Ola

The radar in the picture is called the Wurzburg Giant... I don`t know the Original German name.
I know exactly which radar is meant here and I have seen a guy who scratchbuilt one in 1:72... I don`t know on which site I saw it. It wasn`t that long ago I might find it again. When I found it I will post it here.

well, not the best not the worst for a "firstmodeller" i think a good job in 1:87. i tried to find a kit in 1:87 or even 1:76 but the kits i found were not payable. 91 euros for one kit, too much. so this here is my fresh and unpainted version. this is the BACKSIDE! i hope that the errors / misstakes will not been shown so much if i watch it from some far away.

its a kind of phantasie and of ur pics u post. thanks again for this help.

what did u say? realistic or not?

thanks,
drunken

*edit* maybe to big? just set it for example. this small house is just a gardenhouse for tools. so nothing big, not for living, this just for the size. thanks for ur comments.

the Wurburg and Freya radars were part of the Kammhuber line (umlauts missing over the u) which was set up to help interdict marauding US and British bombers and guide nightfighters to the interception. The Kammhuber line was operated by the Luftwaffe.
