Is there any hints on detailing the old Monogram 37mm anti-tank gun or does anyone know of any good reference sites for the 37mm?

I found some references using Google and Steve Zaloga's beautiful one on M-L. I was hoping for either a decent reference site or if someone had done an article on detailing the old Monogram kit.

I didn't think there was any hope for that gun. I remember back in the days when that was the only jepp available and I bought like 4 for $15. I may still have those guns stored in a box somewhere.

Nice pictures Chris. Imagine sitting behind that thing in Tunisia and having a Tiger I come rolling down the road...

The only reason why I bought the old kit was for the 37mm. I plan on swiping the wheels and such from a Tamiya Jeep trailer (older version).

I shot about a dozen pix of the one at Aberdeen Proving Grounds last Sept. I laughed at my friend who was sweating every shot of his 36 exposure film camera, because I had 270 available on my digital.

He developed his film. My chip corrupted. Who laughed last?

I want references, too.

Hey Toadman,

Just checked out your pics. Well done! I can use these.

Reference the close up of the tires--see those seam / mold lines? I'd throw this out of any model show I was judging! Terrible job of assembly :-) :-)

I noticed that too. What the heck are those 1/1 scale guys thinking when they put these things together?

I put 3 pictures in the My photos section below.
Is this what you are looking for? I'm not sure what kind of gun this is, but there are a few around town. If it is I have more pictures. I will also check the other guns in town. I have not figured out how to put pictures in post yet.

I believe this is the 57mm anti tank gun that is produced by Italeri and Zvezda (same kit) as the Zis 3 M42.

No need to, Chris posted some nice photos in the third post above. It'll give me what I need to accurize the gun controls and mounts. Thanks any way.
