This is the Bedford I built for the "Move It" campaign, but was unable to meet the deadline, so I thought I'd share the finished project here....

Very well made and painted. Interesting subject - do you know if it actually happened?

Dub,
That's neat, and at the same time, UGLY! And as Dave said, "Interesting subject." I like it!

A very nice example of the Bedford. Well made and painted.
I also would like to know if this 'mateing' of a Bedford QL portee and a German Pak 40 accually happened as well, although I have seen pics of captured CMP portees being used by the germans in North Africa I have not seen a Pak 40 used on a British truck. Also I saw some photos the other day of a Free French CMP with a german AT gun mounted on the back as well
Cheers
Cliff

Thanks for your comments Dave! to answer your question, somewhere in the far reaches of my memory I recall seeing a photograph of a british truck in North Africa carrying a captured german anti-tank gun. From my readings, it was not unusual to capture, use and evaluate enemy equipment. I thought it would be fun, and I enjoyed coming up with a differnt german and british desert yellow paint schemes.
